Videos

And Carson's own YouTube Channel!

And the Holiday Request....Carson's "Wish List"
*TBall set--Nerf would be great, but anything that won't shatter a window is fine
*He is still into Disney Cars and doesn't have any of the mini playsets or the Mack truck playset
*I'm with Lori here--no jigsaw puzzles--I am so tired of picking that crap up
*No weapons...thanks
*Clothing he is wearing 2T-3T...larger to be safe. Shoes are 9W
*Trains (Thomas die-cast and take-along trains, T C Timber, Brio)
*Art Easel for painting, etc.
*Activity books-he likes to trace letters and do matching games
*Child's trampoline-something relatively safe, like this
*He has a new interest in dinosaurs. The original "Land Before Time" movie would be a good choice, as would any dinosaur plastic toys, etc.

And a few notes...he doesn't really care if he already has "x" thing. When he gets another one, it's more like "wow, cool....I have two!" So if you want to know if he already has something, just email me, but don't stress too much about him getting little duplicates of most stuff. And, as always, check his Amazon wish list there to the right.....

Cheeky Monkey

Tuesday, November 18. 2008

Just a quick entry of the cheeky tidbits that have come out of Carson's mouth TODAY.

First, on our way home tonight I told him that I took the cake he made last night in to work and everyone ate it and LOVED it and were amazed that he made it. So Carson replied that when we got home, we would "make waffles so that you can take them to work and everyone will eat them."

So, at dinner I told Carson he needed to eat some of his meatballs and not just the waffles he had just made (yes really). I said this as I was walking back to the kitchen and heard Carson reply "Whatever, mom." I walked back to the dining room to find Rich stifling laughter and Carson saying, again of course, "whatever mom." Hmmm....daycare doesn't sound like a very good idea sometimes.

And finally, Carson said he wanted to "take a nap," so we went to lay down on the bed and I hugged him and he said, "no, mama, your boy is crabby." It's okay though, because I asked him later if he was still crabby and he said, "no mama, I am happy!"

Edit
I forgot the most cheeky of statements Carson made today. This morning, I got up and showered, etc. to get ready for work. As I was dressing, Carson wanted me to come over and sit with him. I should add here that Carson has developed a habit of putting his hand down the front of my shirt. It appears to be a "comfort" thing and he calls it my "pocket." So this morning, he tells me to put on my shirt because he wants my "hot pocket" because he's cold. Rich swears he didn't teach him this, but I seriously have my doubts.

The Way to Start Your Day

Wednesday, November 12. 2008

Carson woke up this morning ready for breakfast...we went through the cupboard and after I told him he couldn't have a "snack" (read: gummy fruits) he landed on Cheerios.

I ask, "do you want them with milk or just plain?"

Carson responds, "I want juice."

"On your cereal?"

"yes!"

"What kind of juice?," I ask, thinking he is using a play on words with "moo juice" or "cow juice".

"Apple," he responds.

So I give him a little bowl of cheerios with some apple juice and he asks for some cinnamon sugar on them....okay.

He eats a few bites and then says, "I want milk."

I ask, "do you want milk in THAT bowl or do you want me to start over?"

"Start over."

Hmmm...no kidding. yuck.

Yes we did!

Tonight, my sweet baby fell asleep to the sweet sweet sounds of the acceptance speech of our new President of the United States. So peaceful and so oblivious to the great historic moment which he has witnessed.

Down by the River

Tuesday, October 28. 2008

Last night Carson started playing with his Jeep and Boat toys and wanted to test the boat out in the water. I took him outside to the dog water dish to let him put the boat in, but he kept insisting he wanted to go to the "birdy river." After a bit of discussion, we figured out he was talking about "The River" where we went out on the boat.

Ever the adventurer, Rich said, "Get your coat, we're goin' to the river!"

It was a lovely evening, and Carson had a ball playing with his little boat in the water and throwing rocks (of course).

That is his boat tied to a stick and string, NOT a fish ;-)

As evening fell, the sunset was gorgeous....

What more could a boy hope for?
