Bigs

Thursday, July 10. 2008

This evening Carson and I went to visit Auntie's house. When we were leaving, Carson wanted to walk down the stairs without help. I started to follow him and he turned around and said "No, mama," and pushed me to go back up the stairs. Then he looked at me and Auntie and said, "No bigs, only babies, no bigs."

I love Summer Sunday Mornings

Sunday, July 6. 2008

This morning Carson and I walked to Nap's to get a Sunday paper. We took Carson's stroller, which we hadn't used in awhile, so that was fun. Carson picked out a donut with pink sprinkles, which he ate right out of the bag on the way home.

A perfect little interlude!

Frogs and Peeps

Friday, July 4. 2008

I've been struggling with 102-103 degree fevers for the past 4 days or so and every chance Carson takes for playing indoors has been a godsend. The last two evenings, Carson's bath has consisted of making "frog soup". Frog soup is simply water, bubbles, and frogs. Really. That's all. Oh, and stir it up good so you have lots of bubbles. Carson has had a ball "cooking" in the bathtub the last two nights.

Our other fun this weekend has consisted of getting a bit more serious about the potty. I printed out a special "Cars" progress chart and we have "Cars" stickers for when Carson sits on the potty. It's all quite exciting. The funniest thing, getting to the title of the post, is that Carson has taken to calling urination, "peep". Not PEE, but PEEP. As in, "mama, I went peep". Seriously. I so love it and find it enormously amusing.

On the other hand, anytime his diaper needs to be changed, it is "poopy". If it is wet, it's "poopy" and if he had a BM then it is "brown poopy." Peep and poop. That's been my life the last little while. You're jealous, I know.

A Day Out With Thomas!

Friday, June 27. 2008

Oh Yes...it is true. Carson, Mama, and Grandma had a Thomas the Tank Engine adventure today! We went to Hood River and had a Day out with Thomas on the Mt. Hood Railroad. We all had so much fun, even though Carson was struggling with allergies and what not. We met Sir Topham Hatt and rode on Thomas the Tank Engine. We have pictures to prove it...really! Check out the Gallery!

This was such a cool place. Carson got to ride on Thomas, of course, but he also got to go in the petting zoo and pet the pig and the sheep. He got to make a picture of Thomas and Percy, et al. We watched the "baby train" take people on rides, went in the haystack maze, and got a present at the very end. Just like Carson's "Happy Day" is what he thought!

Why yes, Carson, it was your Happy Day, for sure!
