Exasperated

Sunday, January 24. 2010

Two times today, Carson has told me he is "exasperated"....where he has learned this word, I have no idea. The first time was when I wasn't doing what he wanted me to be doing. The second time, he was throwing things out of his bathtub that didn't fit with his "ocean" theme and were "exasperating."

Before you know it, we'll all be pedantic and peevish.

The case of the Silly String

Sunday, December 27. 2009

Carson got a can of silly string for Christmas (thanks, Aunt Lori) and we pretty much emptied the can out the back door towards daddy's shop.

Tonight, daddy asked Carson about the mess out there and Carson denied doing it. He said, "I didn't do it, and neither did mama. Maybe Auntie did it."

Daddy responded, knowing that Carson had done it, by saying, "Well, it looks like we have a mystery on our hands."

There was a looooong pause and Carson said, "Has anyone seen my magnifying glass?"

Kisses

Friday, December 11. 2009

Tonight as I was putting Carson to bed, he said, "Hold me, but you can't kiss me."

Giving Thanks

Thursday, November 26. 2009

Today was Thanksgiving and along with the turkey, the stuffing, creamed corn, and pumpkin pie we had great fun with Great Grandma & Grandad, Gramma & Grampa, and Auntie Becca & Uncle Tracy.

Auntie got Carson his own can of whipped cream and in return, he allowed a photo. Kind of a prima donna, this one. An that shirt? If you can't read it, says "Don't make me call my Auntie" and it's from Wanda. You know you want one, too....

Carson actually started to get the concept of being "thankful" this year and made an absolutely wonderful little booklet at daycare of everything he's thankful for, including mama & daddy, his puppies, his toys, his kitties, and Gramma, Grampa & Auntie. What a sweet boy....
